Delaney Beckman is a native Texan whose background in music served as her gateway into an acting career. She began at a young age performing on stage through plays and musical theatre productions throughout the Dallas Metroplex. During high school, Delaney studied at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. Her leading role in the Southwestern premiere of Neil LaBute’s Autobahn during Water Tower Theatre’s Out of the Loop Festival marked her first professional stage performance. Some of her favorite roles include Helena in Midsummer Night’s Dream (UIL Best Actress 2009), Jo March in Little Women (UIL Best Actress 2010), Bird Girl in Seussical (GCT, Dallas Column Award Nomination), TV Actress in EAT(Dallas Children’s Theatre), Officer in Twelfth Night(Shakespeare Dallas)and Liesl in Sound of Music(J Players Dallas).
In addition to stage performance, Delaney is a professional film and television actor traveling to Los Angeles where she has participated in several producer sessions on TV shows such as Disney’s Shake It Up, Austin and Ally, Crash and Bernstein, and Malibu Country. She attends each pilot season auditioning for upcoming TV shows as well as feature films.
She has been privileged to study and work extensively in Los Angeles with Ty Harman, Suzanne Goddard- Smythe, Del Shores, Glenn Morshower, David Barry Gray, and Will Wallace among others in film and television. She can also be seen in the The Decemberists’ music video, “This is Why We Fight”.
Delaney looks forward to bringing her experience to teach the beginning actors with Young Actor’s House.
